Taking God’s Word to college campuses
By getting God’s Word into the hands of a graduate, The Gideons hope that Christ becomes a person’s foundation, resulting in a life filled with God’s blessings, and an eternity spent in heaven.

Gideon College Testament distribution locations include 2-year and 4-year colleges and institutions, as well as all other post-secondary educational institutions such as trade schools, technical institutes and business schools. As with all Gideon distributions, college campus graduation distributions are made only after receiving approvals from officials.

For the 2010-2011 fiscal year to-date, The Gideons International has distributed over 2.3 million copies of God’s Word on college campuses worldwide, with more than 1.4 million of those being distributed on U.S. campuses. We praise God for the lives impacted as a result of this program, and for the Gideons and donors who made it possible.

Graduation signals a new beginning in life. As college graduates seek jobs and begin their careers, having God’s Word and putting their trust in Him will give them the strength and wisdom they need for the challenges that lie ahead.

We pray that as Gideons distribute God’s Word to this year’s graduating class, new graduates will discover that Christ is the only new beginning in life that can make a difference for eternity.

In March, 747,947 copies of copies of God’s Word were placed in the U.S. through The Gideons International. Praise God. Thank you members and donors.

Hearty Spring Greetings to all GSH Friends and Supporters!!

It has been about six months since we have updated you on how God is working through our friends in Rajahmundry, India. This is a short update with a few prayer requests for some exciting upcoming events.
To begin with, work is continuing on the building project for the school, church and children's home.  Because GSH was able to purchase additional property for an amazing deal last year, the ground preparation and boundary wall construction is still in process. However, Bro. Joseph estimates that the additional fill should be in place within a few weeks and construction of the remainder of the wall will commence.
Bro. Joseph has been away from home preaching at a Gospel Crusade.  When he returns home he is planning to meet with an engineer to commission the preparation of plans for the children's home.  Please pray for wisdom and foresight for Bro. Joseph and the engineer as they work together to design a permanent home for the children.
From June 7^th through June 9^th, Bro. Joseph will be hosting a Gospel Crusade at Mercy Colony in Rajahmundry.  Please join him in prayer for at least 2,000 people to attend and hear the good news.  Pray also that many will not just hear the news, but that many will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.  Bro. Joseph has invited a famous actress to attend and share her testimony.  This actress is a former Muslim who was recently saved by the One True God, and her presence may help to bring in an even larger audience.  Please join in prayer with all those in Rajahmundry who are working so hard to share the good news, that God will pour out His Spirit during this Gospel Crusade and save many Indian souls.
GSH India will soon be sending GSH USA a DVD with updated photos of the children.  We will be able to share those with you as soon as they are available.
Thank you again for all the support through your prayers and finances.  May God continue to bless you and your families with hearts fully committed to Him as we enter the summer season.

‎"When we sell what we have and become poor, when we leave our corporate jobs for the slums, when we give up chasing earthly treasures to store up heavenly ones, when we give up our "me time" for serving His people and his kingdom, God smiles because He sees himself in us! Jesus left His heavenly places to live among, walk with, serve, and give his life for us!!! That is our model, and we should do the same.

Kathy Keller- May 2011 Update

Hello Friends!

Wow, I feel like it has been awhile since I last wrote a personal update about life and ministry!  Quite a few things have happened since the last time I wrote. I am excited to get this opportunity to fill you in.  Please read the below email.

As you probably remember Laura and I scheduled a trip to Madagascar to learn from a TIMO (Training in Ministry Outreach) team.  We learned a ton and are so thankful that Marlene, the team leader, gave so much of her time to us.  

Now we are ready to keep gearing up for the start of our team in September.  Please pray the team members will be able, by God’s amazing grace, to raise the funds they need to come.  We have three couples and two single girls joining us for this two year adventure.  This is such a huge answer to our prayers! 

Since I last wrote I also had to send my computer back to the states for surgery!  That made communicating slow down quite a bit.  I am thankful though that our home office staff has been so helpful in getting me back in the game in terms of technology.  I am thankful for that.  Please forgive me if I have been slow in responding to you!

Since I last wrote we decided to move, moved, and now I am writing from our new apartment.    We literally moved three doors down!  We basically moved because the new landlord was willing to give us a deal that would help us to get our rent costs a bit lower. Our new place has about 40 apartments all filled with people from the community we are trying to reach and is across the street from a major Mosque that some of our people attend . It is a privilege to be here.  We are excited about plans to invite families from our old place over to see our new place.  Pray God will give us opportunities to continue the relationships we have formed with them and also for lots of new relationships at our new place too!

We do have some upcoming things you can be in prayer about too.  Pray for our ongoing Friday Club.  We are encouraged by the group of about thirty five M and H kids that are attending.  Pray for the them as they hear God’s Word!  Please especially pray for Abbas and Shabir as I am teaching them and would love to see God work in their lives in radical ways.  In addition, we will restart two of our Saturday Clubs beginning in May for six weeks. Pray for us as we reconnect with kids that we have been sharing with over the last couple of years.  Pray for Taylor who is going to join us for about a month starting in May.  Pray for our two summer teams coming—one for Bamba 1 and 2 and one for a HindXu School English Camp and one for a MusXlm School English Camp.  Pray that God will use both these teams to be a light among unreached people.  Keep praying for God to prepare the hearts of our TIMO members.  Pray that God would help us find great homes for each of them and to furnish them in a way that would be cost effective, but also culturally appropriate, as well as in a way that they (the team members) will enjoy.

Lastly, a few weeks ago I needed to go out to Bamba to get our contracts looked over by the Bamba manager.  I was able to take Lucy and her daughters. Lucy works for us.  It was a fun day!     We will pass out fliers this week in schools—please pray that MANY students (those who have come previously as well as those who would be first timers) would get the flier and quickly sign up.  Pray that MANY students from the community we work in would get permission from their parents to come.  Pray God would use Bamba 1 & 2 this year to bring kids to the Lord
